Name: Cloud
Age: 9 1/2 years
Rank: leader
Species: horned Esroh
Gender: male{stallion}
Personality: Cloud is a serious guy, he doesn’t like to fool around. He is extremely protective of his Group and land, not looking kindly on intruders. He is suspicious of anything that doesn’t belong on his land, and though he doesn’t like intruders, he will usually not hurt them. He is fierce fighter, and a good one too. He is a perfectionist, working hard at whatever he puts his mind to and not being satisfied until he has accomplished what he thinks is perfect for that project. He rules his group well, and though he isn’t one to be questioned, is a kind and just ruler.
He has a stubborn streak though, and a very large one at that. Once he makes his mind up on something, which usually takes a little while because he always wants to be sure he has considered everything carefully first, it is nigh impossible to get him to change his mind. He is extremely brave, perhaps too much so at times.
Description: Cloud is as his name implies, very white. His coat has a faint blue tint to it, as does his wings, which are also white. His coat is short and smooth, telling of good living, and his mane and tail are long and the hair there is a little on the courser side, though it is still soft.
Under Cloud’s supple coat strong muscles ripple, hardened from many years of use. He is very strong, being large and imposing. His legs match the rest of his massive body, being long and thick and muscular. He is about the size of a Clydesdale horse, though perhaps a little bigger.
Despite the fact that he is very white, Cloud is not an albino. His hooves are very very solid black, as are his eyes. Where his hair gets thin, black skin shows through. His twisted horn is white also, bearing a little more of the blue tint than the rest of his coat.
History: Cloud was born in the group that he now rules. Both of his parents were loyal to their former leader and his father was a huge creature, which is probably where Cloud has gotten his amazing size. He was, as was usual, an only foal, though once he was old enough he played with the other foals.
When he was year and a half old his wings began to sprout, and he was driven crazy by the itchy but also painful growing spurts. He was given the usual medicine to lessen the growing pains, but it still felt very strange to be growing a new body piece. His wings were fully grown in at the age of two years, the itchiness easing off a good bit near the end.
Once his wings were fully grown his father brought him out to train him, as was custom, and he did very well. He did have a little trouble learning to fly though, his wings seemed to rebel at the though of lifting his massive form from the ground, but he finally mastered it.
He led a pretty normal life after that, he was on a few patrols when there were rumors of threats, and he helped chase a few intruders away also. When the leader was killed by a dragon the group naturally turned to him for a leader, for his leadership skills were well known, as was his bravery.
RP example: Cloud trotted along the edge of the nearby canyon. His head whirled with all of the recent happenings. The fight with the dragon, the death of the leader, and now the group wanted him to lead them. It should have been me! He snorted as he jumped off of the cliff and let his wings bear him up into the sky. He had wanted to go with the leader on that patrol, but had been told to stay behind and guard the camp. He was completely convinced that had he been there he could have saved his leader.
He was startled from his thoughts as a noisy Erif bird dove at him, giving him a little peck to chase him away. No doubt it had a nest nearby. Cloud shook his mane and swerved to the side. Annoying creatures. he thought as he put his ears back in irritation.
‘Don’t you ever come so close to my nest again! You hear me?!’ It screeched at him before sloping away.
Cloud watched the fire colored bird fly off and then redirected his course towards home. He knew that it was his duty to watch over the group now, the old leader had wanted him to be leader, he had said so before he died. Cloud sighed and dove for the ground, locking his wings and then flaring them out at the last moment. He landed with a flourish hard to match and then made his way to the caves that his group stayed in.
